Damir Sharipzyanov, captain of Avangard Omsk, opened up about the team’s season and their tough loss to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (3-4) in the KHL Gagarin Cup semifinal series.
“I still can’t soberly assess the result—it hasn’t fully sunk in yet. It just doesn’t fit in my head. There are two paths: either feel sorry for yourself, or turn it into sporting anger. We need to hold onto these emotions until the next playoffs—and we are already looking forward to them to become stronger,” Sharipzyanov said.
