Russian tennis players Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider have secured a spot in the women’s doubles semifinals at the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid.

In the quarterfinals, the Russian duo comfortably defeated the Australian-Dutch pair of Ellen Perez and Demi Schuurs with a score of 6:3, 6:3. The match lasted 1 hour and 12 minutes.

In the semifinals, Andreeva and Shnaider will face Germany’s Laura Siegemund and Russian Vera Zvonareva.

Shnaider, 22, is ranked 19th in singles, while Andreeva holds the eighth spot.
