The 29-year-old midfielder, who currently plays for Olympiacos in the Greek Super League 1, was injured during a training session or match—reports indicate the injury occurred in the same knee he damaged last year. According to Sport24, the rupture happened on Thursday, marking yet another unfortunate episode for the Turkish playmaker.

Yazıcı initially injured the same knee on October 27, 2024, during his first match for Olympiacos against Asteras Aktor. He now faces a second cruciate ligament tear during his time with the Greek club, and the third of his professional career. The first such injury occurred in 2019 while he was playing for Lille.

Since leaving Lille in 2024 to join Olympiacos, Yazıcı has made only 28 appearances for the club due to persistent injuries. The repeated setbacks have also cost him his place in the Turkish national team, and his market value has dropped significantly to €4 million. His current contract with Olympiacos runs until 2027.
