The lottery results confirmed the Washington Wizards as the winners of the No. 1 overall pick, while Indiana landed at the No. 5 spot via the Clippers’ pick arrangement. That outcome meant the Pacers failed to secure a top-four selection, activating the condition that sends their pick to Los Angeles.
Shortly after the lottery, Pritchard addressed fans directly on social media with a candid statement. He wrote, “I’m really sorry to all our fans. I own taking this risk.
