Russian national team coach Nikolai Pisarev stated on Match TV that Barcelona rightfully won La Liga this season. The Catalan club secured the title with a 2-0 victory over Real Madrid in the 35th round of the Spanish championship.
“Barcelona deservedly became champions – and they did it in El Clasico. It’s doubly impressive to beat your biggest rival. Compared to last season, they haven’t become stronger. They are entertaining to watch, but very reckless. While that works in La Liga, they get punished in the Champions League,” Pisarev said during the program “All on Match!” on Match TV.
Barcelona has accumulated 91 points from 35 matches, sitting 14 points clear of second-placed Real Madrid. This marks Barcelona’s 29th La Liga title, while Real Madrid holds 36 championships.
